Every time a company comes to a con saying they’re looking for new talent, it’s not my kind of talent. Understandably, it’s time consuming to just read a script and figure out what the writer actually knows whereas an artist/inker/colourist/letterer you can flip through the portfolio and see what they can do.

They’ll usually say to get your own comics done, work with an artist and then show a completed product so the editor has an easier time figuring out who you are. It’s why I’ve been getting back into drawing, mostly forgetting everything I know and learning through online courses. I still have a long way to go, but until then it’s still fun collaborating on projects.
