A collection of Frequently Asked Questions that David felt like answering.
1. Who does what?
I write the strips, put them online, manage the site and tell everyone to come check us out. Paul draws, inks, colours and letters the strips.
2. When do you update?
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for the strips. Blog updates whenever I have something to say
3. How long have you been doing this comic?
I started it on drunkduck.com back in December 2008, then Paul took over art in the middle of January 09.
4. I’ve noticed some strips on drunkduck aren’t here. Why is that?
Those were the ones I drew. I didn’t like them, so I left them off.
5. What’s with the title?
I wanted something memorable, but still reflected what the comic was about. Living With Insanity pretty much fits everything.
6. Who are your inspirations?
For me doing the strip, it would have to be other webcomic writers who have been doing this stuff for years and still have interesting comics. So Ryan Sohmer, R.K. Milholland, Danielle Corsetto, Jeph Jacques and Chris Hazelton.
For who actually got me into writing? Stephen King, Thomas Harris and Neil Gaiman were pretty inspiring. I started webcomics when I was a manga junkie, so Kazuki Takahashi, Akira Toriyama (Their early stuff, not after it got drawn out) and Kentaro Yabuki. After that, Greg Rucka, Grant Morrison, Ed Brubaker, Robert Kirkman and Gerard Way for western comics. Paul Dini got me into Batman (The Animated Series) and comics in general (His run on Detective Comics was my first), so he obviously gets a special mention
7. Are you rich?
Hah! I wish. No, we aren’t really making any money off of this… yet. Would be nice if we could, but we aren’t.
8. Are the characters based off of real people?
Well, David is partially me. He has a couple of my views and eccentricities. Paul is physically based off of him (At least I assume) but that’s about it. Alice was based off a friend of mine in appearance when I drew her. Other than that, no, everyone else is a product of my imagination.
9. Do you do anything else?
Yes, I write prose fiction, screenplays and am working on getting another comic published. When it comes to working with fiction, I’m a bit of a slut. (Or a project whore, depending on how you see me).

10. Why don’t you have a forum/oekaki/whatever?
Not popular enough yet. Tell people to read the comic, then we’ll talk.
11. Do you have merchandise I can buy?
Yeah, we have a t-shirt over at Ka-Blam! and prints are available. Currently working on some new stuff though.

Not really. I learnt to shrug off negativity long ago.
